Travel Clinic

Langmore Clinic is a member of Travel Clinics Australia. We can assist with much of your pre-travel health needs and we stock most vaccines required for travel. (Please note that we do not stock BCG vaccine).
Langmore Clinic can provide Yellow Fever (YF) vaccination - required for travel to some countries in South America and Africa. We are an approved provider of YF vaccinations by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

For your convenience you can also purchase from a range of travel health related items.

  • Appointments for the Travel Clinic can be made by calling (03) 9703 9277. We recommend you ideally see a doctor at least two months prior to travel, but it’s never too late for travel advice and some vaccines can be given at the last minute.

To secure your booking we generally require confirmation of the appointment a day in advance so please provide valid contact details. Also please let us know well in advance if you cannot attend your appointment. (Please see our Late Cancellation and Failure to Attend Policy).

  • Before your appointment, it is very helpful, if you could fill in a Pre-Travel Assessment Form. If you have been a Langmore Clinic patient, we may have details of your past vaccinations. We can also access the Australian Immunisation Register to obtain information about previous vaccines,

If you have not attended Langmore Clinic previously, you may need to get information from relatives or from other clinics to complete the form. You will also need to complete a new patient details form for each traveller. Download the form here

You can return completed forms on the day of the visit.

  • The first part of your appointment is with the travel doctor and will last between 30 minutes and 60. The second part of the appointment is with the nurse for 15 minutes, or 30 minutes for a family. You will need to wait for 10 minutes after the last vaccination before you can go home. Please make sure that you allow enough time for your appointment.

The doctor will tell you at your first appointment if you need booster shots and will arrange follow-up appointments as needed.

  • The out-of-pocket contribution for consultations is generally approximately $50.00. Subsequent family members who are seen at the same consultation will generally be charged a reduced fee or the rebate fee.

Children under 16 years of age will be bulk-billed for travel consultations, if attending as part of a family consultation.

A booking fee of $50.00 per family per initial appointment is required at the time of booking your appointment. This fee will be deducted from your consultation fee. This fee is not required for consultations with Dr Oberklaid.

Individual vaccines vary in price. If you have private health insurance with extras cover you may be able to claim a portion of the vaccine costs through your fund. Receipts will be provided on the day of your consultation.

If you have any further questions, please see information on contacting the practice on this website or see www.travelclinic.com.au
